Protect

That is the core purpose of the nature reserves. The goal of a nature reserve is to protect important or endangered areas of the environment: animal and plant life, soil, waters, rocks and fossils, above ground, underground or under the sea, in continental France or overseas. A common rule to all nature reserves: the sites are neither to be destroyed nor to be changed from their natural state or in their appearance. All unique, the nature reserves underlie regulations that are determined from case to case and adjusted according to fixed conservation objectives.
