The priority of all nature reserves is to contribute to the national and international levels, conservation of natural heritage and, in particular, biodiversity.
Manage a protected natural environment is to act (or not act) to protect and even increase its heritage value. This may be to maintain traditional activities, use modern technology or simply monitor a natural evolution.
All nature reserves must define their actions within the framework of a reference document: the management plan. This particular document is the reference before any intervention programming. This document is prepared for a period of 5 years. It is made by the manager of the nature reserve, it is validated by the advisory committee of the Reserve and chaired by the Prefect of Côte d’Armor. The first management plan is then submitted to “Conseil national de protection de la nature” (CNPN) which endorses the document.
